Okay, so I was just wondering what tips you would give someone who wanted to start writing. These aren't for me, I was just curious. Okay, some I would give people
-stay away from mary-sues
-listen to SOME criticism there are a lot of know-it-alls out there that couldn't write to save their life, a lot of people on this site are really good though
-don't use stereotypes these just drive me crazy, I HATE it when people use it. Unless it's just like in dialogue and the person saying it is either joking or mean or whatever. I especially hate it when like the character whose POV states it in the story (seriously, i've seen it before) Sorry, I personally think it's lazy and will make people either bored or hate your character.
Okay, there are more but I don't want to ramble on. So, what tips would you give?
