But alcohol is no excuse for obnoxious behaviour, especially in the way we men treat women.
Every person on this board can probably cite at least one example of being at a party where some guy gets drunk and starts hitting on someone else's wife or girlfriend. No apology in sober afterthought the next day or the next week will ever erase that embarrassing uncomfortable incident from that woman's mind; he'll forever be imprinted there as a drunk, obnoxious, lout on that occasion.
I suspect the ladies on this board may have some strong opinions about clients showing up in an alcohol induced state, free of inhibitions and saying and doing things they wouldn't say when sober.
Ultimately, we are fully responsible for our own behaviour at all times. If we can't maintain respect for others after a few drinks, it's time to stop drinking ... either learn how soon to stop drinking for damage control, or stop drinking completely.
