I agree with fireballs, most of the kidnap victims have been people that have businesses in TJ with known wealth.

Besides that statistically speaking when you think of the total number of people crossing into TJ on a weekend 18 kidnappings since thanksgiving is small amount.

There were more people shot/killed in a lot of U.S cities since thanksgiving. They have more shoot outs than that in LA in a weekend.

So keep it in perspective, most news is about selling fear. IMHO

I been looking at some of the american living areas and these guys are driving new H2 and mercedes.So I don't think those guys are scared of being kidnap.

Nope same old recycled stuff I read about months ago. But the interesting thing is the kidnappers are coming here in the States to San Diego. So if you going to be scared you need to be scared right here in San Diego too, as the kidnappers might get you and take you back to TJ and hold you for ransom, all because you drive a nice car like Bohemian and his BMW.

Did you notice what the video didn't show you? They didn't show the face of the guy that got kidnapped. What the other reports said about the same thing is some of these guys getting kidnapped are smugglers of undocumented Mexicans, and they have lot of money.

So if you want to be scared, be scared but the fact is they aren't going to pull people at random just for driving nice cars like Bohemian and hoping for a big score, no that won't happen, what they are looking for is known smugglers or drug dealers who they know have lot of money, and won't call the police.

Thanks Chicano, that was a good news clip. It says 18 americans were kidnapped since thanksgiving. Imp point to note is they target "rich" Americans, those who have business or are in flashy cars or high spenders. So as monger community we need to re-evaluate the risk. This is not just the San Diego tribune type of recycled or out of proportion info. This is serious. Could it be that zona mongers may be the next target victims ?
