y-all heart...
been visiting for nine years, passed thru a dozen times since they posted Marines to check bags, only been searched once, and never had any problems before, once about four years a go had a problem w/a female from AB. As for passport, another is on the way.

The border rarely if ever give you the third degree, often they look at my passport, ask me I'm bringing anything back? I say no, and they say have a nice night. At the most they might ask a couple of other questions....it's not a big deal.

A great trip? Yes it was, and I can't wait to get back. Rarely if ever do I have bad trips to TJ, and after hundreds of visits I could probably count the bad incidents I had in TJ on one hand. ( the last problem I had is a Street walker walked out on me after giving her $20 dollars.....big deal)

Now what's there to do in the states? Craig's list $200 dollars? Maybe a crack ho in the streets for $50 dollars along with keeping a few steps away from the vice police and stings. Perhaps an encounter at a MP for about $150 dollars? I know, I could always jack off to porn on the internet for free.

Bar Tropical, and Las Chavelas also do pretty good, LC is packed whenever they seem to have a live band. These two bars don't depend on gringos from the states, although Bar Tropical is quickly turning into a gringo and Filipino bar, and BT is suffering a little because American sex tourism is down. BT might be better off going back to it's roots, and try to remain just a local Mexican bar, because right now it's trying to do both. It's largely still a local bar, but they practice a few rip off things like the "chip" thing where they throw chips on the tray and try to make you buy every time you buy a chica a drink, and they now have private VIP rooms. Stuff like that is marketing to gringos from the states, as only US mongers would be interested in VIP rooms, or would go ahead and buy the chips when they didn't really want them.

Valentinas seemed pretty busy, but the few times I try to go into there for a drink I quickly turn around and go back outside, because the talent level isn't that great, and my track record stinks of being successful with chicas at this bar, as many of them don't want to go to the room with me.

For the life of me I can't see the attraction to Karla's Place? Can somebody explain it to me, what it is do they have cheap beer?

It's a little hole in the wall, although it looks like they fixed up the other side of the bar to attract customers.

It's a local Mexican bar with only a few girls in there. I'm not sure if they are free lancers or not or work for the bar? Does this bar have a bar fine?

I go in here to just look around the last couple of trips, but since there is nothing here, I quickly turn around and walk back out?

I believe Hong Kong is earning the most in Coahuila now and I bet Valentinas is number 2. I visited with the night time manaagement of Adelitas last week and he admitted that their #2 Bar(La Valentina) is outearning their number 1 Bar.

One of the smaller bars may be out earning a place like La Valentina, but hard to say....more ficha sales in La Valentina....but that fucking Karla's Place is always packed.

- When I saw the guy back at the hotel shirt full of blood, did wonder what was I doing down there...
--never pull your money out at least a lot of it
--walk on the street so you do not get pinned in
--always be alert: in my case almost saw a judge...not good was not thinking
- Cops drive you around town on a site seeing tour for about two to three hours, then finally to the jail house to see a judge before you go to jail, he will not place in jail for drinking on private property, chance are (99%) he will let you go, but if you did commit a crime or infraction pay the fine instead of going to jail.
- The end was not too smooth do admit, last 10 hours appear to be a nightmare.

this story has nopthing to with TJ but it has everything about going to jail.

An Amish man was in court for a very low level violation, perhaps a parking ticket in Pennslyvania. He was given the choice of a $30 fine or spending the night in jail, he was stubborn guy who felt he had suffered injustive so as a protect he told the judge he'd spend the night in jail rather than pay.

well they put him in a cell with some bikers for the night, and these bikers need to show him who was top dog by butt rapping him. He was actually relieved at the end of it all when all the bikers pissed on him because that is how he knew the rapping(s) were over.

After hearing that, I will pay any damn fine just to stay out of jail!

Last month traveled to the famous alley in TJ to see all the ladies and ones on Constituction Ave. felt like being in a candy store. The ones that stood in front of the first hotel on the right side of the alley were great. Visited that area most, and the rest of the alley had great women scattered on both sides forgot their names though except for Nancy.

Thought the best bar/club was Hong Kong, but they need to turn down the music. Adelita bar is still there same atmosphere; quality of women has gone way down. Noticed several of them moved to Hong Kong. Chicago still has it going on but it is one tenth of what it used to be, slowest bar of the three. Believe Chavela’s bar is going to give Adelita and Chicago a run for its money in the near future.

Consequently, one guy was robbed on the hill, next corner from the alley on Constituction at approximately 8:30AM. Heard he will never return, do not blame him. To add someone gets mugged roughly once a week or so at that location. What was ironic that was roughly the same time I went up that hill every day, on that day took another route.

With US, economy-tanking thieves are becoming bolder, of course with support from local law enforcement. Since they are always around even when you do not need them.

On my last day there, was drinking a beer on hotel property next to the street and talking to a few Americans who live at Hotel Leyva. As luck would have it, someone called tj police was taken to the truck, padded down, and next thing I knew was in the back of the truck with lights on. What was interesting is a Federal cop from DF Mexico was in charge, after I pleaded my case let the local cop know that I was on private property, but he still wanted cash or face the judge...well I said lets go. The guy in charge asked how long had I been there, and what was the nature of my visit, then one of the Americans came out yelling at the cop in charge and within a few minutes was released. In the end, I refused to give local law enforcement any cash.

Crossing the border to US was another story...almost same thing happened once I mentioned what hotel I staying in.

Overall, it was a great trip with a few hick ups!
