All time favorite massage inventions....

Heres a question for you all... What are the best massage inventions /tools that you have come across or even used? Being a therapist for 14 yrs, i've seen alot of new products come out and I find some of them to be amazing.. Here are 3 of my favorite massage inventions....1) The oil holster. Not only am i totally lost when i forget to put mine on but it has given me such freedom of moving around the room and not forgetting bottle placement, spilling , or breaking contact with clients. It has even evolved to a heated version that keeps your bottles warm as you wear it..! 2) The Body Cushion. It has made pregnancy massages easier and comfortable for all. If you place it on the floor, you can even do Shiatsu sessions with the client in total ease. Side lying positions for deep tissue work is also excellent for this gadget... 3) Breast resess holes on massage tables. What a difference my clients have when I have them lie on this table. It relieves a lot of shoulder strain and makes ladies w/ implants more relaxed. Dont laugh, but i've even placed the face cradle on the opposite end and used the holes for keeping tools, liniments, and even coffee cups in reach and secure... 8) So lets hear what you guys think???

One of the BEST things to come along in massage. It's a bummer to squish the uh, girls during certain times of the month. :shock:

I'm a fan of the holster, too! It's amazing how short my memory can be in terms of which table leg I left my oil bottle next to... :roll:

Table warmer... I like to keep my room warm, but not hot. Turn that up and I am not dripping on my client!

Totally! I can remember my dad making my mom's first massage table.. he used such beautiful wood and took such care and it was gorgeous - and portable! and heavy as heck! here's to lightweight massage tables!

and i've gotta say - i totally coudn't work without my hot towel cabbi

Gotta be Hot Stones for me ! You have to love that feeling of being like melted butter when recieving a good stone treatment ! I also love using my beverage cup warmers for
putting bottles of oil in them.

On those cold winter days the clients love the warmth ! I've tried a couple of different electric table warmers & twin size heated mattress pads, but they haven't got the heat level I prefer. Instead I have 3 large (20 x 26) flax packs which I nuke in the microwave and place them under the bottom sheet, down the length of the table. Every client who climbs on the table invaribly lets out an a sigh when they slip between the sheets.

I agree: Hot Stones..ahhhh...the table warmer.. perfect..it will be interesting in a few years to see what else is available for us..any new inventions :
