Hi everyone!
I'm going to be a freshman in college this fall and am nervous about going to the campus gym for the first time. I've never used one before because all my workouts are generally body weight circuits involving only a few small pieces of equipment I have at home. I would continue to do these workouts in the privacy of my room, but it's too small.
I'm nervous about going to a gym for a few reasons: first, my workouts don't involve much equipment, and the point of gyms seem to be equipment. Should I expect for there to be open space available for me to just do body weight and plyometric exercises? Second, I've always been inexplicably anxious about working out in front of people. Is this weird? I'm not overweight and never have been, but it's something that's always bothered me. What can I do about that?
Thanks so much!
