Adding own essential oils to Hopi Ear Candles?

Just qualified as a Thermal Auricular practitiner (VTCT) and almost qualified as Aromatherapist (... in June).
I am aware that Biosun and Otosan sell both plain candles and ones with PRE-blended essentail oils.
Can I simply buy the plain ones (biosun?) and add perhaps 2-3 drops of essential oils to suit within the candles - perhaps leave them horizontally for a minute or two to soak into the cotton?
Any thoughts and ideas are very much appreciated

I personally wouldn't bother with all that faffing about, I buy plain Biosun candles and use essential oils in the facial.

Also, had my teacher discuss this with Biosun and they suggest not to add EOs to the main upper candle above the safety line for safety reasons. They reccommend "dipping lightly" the lower part, under the safety line, in a blend - this could then vapourise gently with the candle with no danger.

Any other thoughts or ideas?

I would not risk it as E/O are highly flammable.
