I was in a place that got raided once, too. A long time ago, o W. 56th St. It was scary, but I was in the bathroom at the time. Naked, but in the bathroom. It was an immigration bust so they weren't interested in me. They gave me a beer from the fridge and let me go. It was quite a thing, but nothing illegal was going on with me, so they had nothing.

It may be different now, but that time was a sweep of illegal immigrants. Since the guys were let go, this may have been a similar thing. Immigration is a hotter topic these days.

It makes for a great story anyway.

Be careful. I'd go at night if at all, since my raid was in the middle of the afternoon.

Remember when something similar happened at their old location on 30th. I wasn't in Hiyako but I was in Zuki right underneath them. Which was a fs place.

It's a shame that they are doing this to these places. Atleast their money goes into the economy. I've noticed a lot of these Chinese places (20 minutes for $20 up to $50 for 1 hour) are popping up more places. I know most if not all do he. Some do a lot more. But their money goes back to China for their economy.
As long as you're not caught in the act of anything sexual, they just ask you a few question and take your info down and then let you go. It sucks and you atleast you weren't out of the city where you do get arrested and get your name in the paper.
