Hello Fellow Therapist,I thought it would be useful for you to know the following information prior to registering your vote on my poll. We have all used music in the background and know that it is enjoyable for our clients to "listen" to. ย But, research into the effects of music on the physiology have shown that there is a far greater benefit to obtained from using music as a tool to facilitate the release of stress than not using it. ย I am the inventor of the Acoustical Touch System (Pat. Pending)and would like your professionl assistance in my research on the potential of this invention to be utilized outside of my own massage practice, that of my workshop students and a few spas. ย Unfortunately, there are only a few alternative massage schools that even touch on the effects of emotionally triggered stress that we deal with as therapists. The Acoustical Touch System (ATS)was specifically designed to fill what I believe to be the missing link in our attempts to facilitate the release of Accumulated Negative Emotional Stress Disorder (ENASD). According to interntional medical research, ENASD is a major contributing factor in the acquisition of many serious illnesses and is directly related to the holding on to of physical trauma. As you all know, increases in retained stress equates to a reduction of energy to the immune system, reducing our ability to ward off disease and even behave responsibly to protect ourselves from injury. ย Music has the ability to greatly reduce or in some cases, even eliminate the level of that accumulation of retained stress. ย The ATS permits carefully selected music from a standard 100 watt 2 channel stereo system ย to permeate the furnishing. ย This musically induced vibration allows the client to literally feel the music penetrating their physiology. ย The outcome for the client is a profoundly deeper state of relaxation. ย This facilitates a far greater release of tension throughout the physiology. ย Studies by the Touch Institute at the University of Miami, support the fact that music reduces the level and affect of stress homones in the body. ย I also created a new technique called Vibrational Attunement Massage which allows the facilitator to apply the music to the body using vibration and traditional massage techniques that is performed in time with the music. ย It is like dancing on your hands, being a conductor and is truly rewarding for both the client and the therapist. ย One on my workshop graduates even calls her business "Dancing Hands Massage".The other mitigating factors considered were to create something that was safe for the client & Therapist, affordable for the average therapist to purchase when they were ready to set up their business, add a new technique to their skill base or replace a table.Thank you for your participation and interest. ย For more information I can be contacted at [email protected].
