204 Spadina, What Happened..?!

I know this is slightly off topic, but also on topic. There used to be a massage -- read rub & tug, and maybe more -- joint at 204 Spadina, and believe me, you always got more than a massage...I am just curious to see if anyone else went there and if they know what could have happened to that place?!?!

I don't recall any juicy idea why they closed. I used to live near there.

I used to go there many times when I worked nearby. This place closed in, I believe, the fall of 1999. There was a lease termination notice posted on the door for failure to pay rent.

This place used to be fairly decent. The facilities were nothing to write home about but the staff were nice and occasionaly they had some real lookers. I remember Tammy in particular, a big healthy Vietnamese girl.

It wasn't in '99, because the last time I was there was around Feb. or Mar. of '00. At one point when I was there once, I believe in the spring of '99, there was a younger girl -- I know I am not supposed to mention it on here, but it is closed after all -- and I was about 22 and there was no way in hell she was even 18...of course who am I to complain?!?!

Yeah, 2000 sounds more like it. I was there once a couple of years back, and the experience was so incredibly lame, even I (with very reasonable standards) couldn't see going back there. I seem to remember that the room I was in didn't even have a proper door, but rather one of those canvas/plastic accordian thingies with a cheesy magnetic lock. I felt very secure, needless to say. Also, the MPA answered a string of phone calls while I was on the table. 'Nuff said.

She never did that when I was there, of course I was going there on and off since very late '97. Of course, if you remember the ad it said "Choose a beauty", very hard to do when there was only one women there at the time, hell the first time I went in '97, there was a girl -- yes I said girl -- who was like 10 - 12 years of age watching TV in the front room while I was getting a massage+; that was not very good.
