At The Health Institute, our response to mitigate the spread and contraction of COVID-19 within our clinical space comes directly from our professional associations (Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, and Naturopathic) and Health Canada. It is critically important to ensure we provide a safe space to our clients while maintaining the effectiveness of treatment. For this reason, all practitioners and health coaches have provided clinical and virtual dates for appointments - providing the option of contactless treatment. To keep social distancing guidelines within the clinic we have implemented the following protocols: all clients are to be invited into the clinic for their appointment to reduce traffic, the rehabilitation space is limited to two health coaches with one patient each while maintaining a safe distance, and there is no longer a waiting area. In addition, only the patient receiving treatment is allowed into the clinic. Upon entrance all patients and practitioners are to wear a face mask and are then screened with a series of questions, temperature checked, and soles of shoes are disinfected. All practitioners are required to disinfect treatment rooms before and after each patient, and are to use gloves during their session. For our clients we do also offer over the phone payments, e-transfer, and contactless debit/visa payments for their visit.
Kijiji is an essential service at The Health Institute to help advertise and connect with clients in the community. Now more than ever, we are able to connect with clients throughout the city that are either travelling, residing, or willing to travel for their service. Kijiji is also consistently used within our staff to help find new tools to help better our service, and also to find individuals looking for new work opportunities. Through this, The Health Institute is able to grow as a business and connect with clients and future staff.
